Abstract

Issues are born in every country and in every country there are certain elements that perpetually cause problems. But, today, due to the cruelty of Burma, Rohingya Muslims are facing a plethoras of problems. Burmese Government, apparently, is follower of Buddhist religion. Buddhism, as a religion, prohibits killing of living things considering it extreme cruelty. But in Burma, Rohingya Muslims are facing various problems in different sectors of life.

For instance, confinement of the villages of Rohingya has been started and governmental ban has been imposed on the preaching of Islam. Not only desecration of mosques continues unabated but also moratorium has been implemented on the construction of mosques and Madrassahs. Apart from this, basic facilities in the state of Rakhine are negligible. Most prominent of the lacking basic facilities are related to public health; the basic reason for which is low fund allocation for health. Burmese Muslims are not only encountering genocide but they are also facing social boycott.

Owing to this, their mobility is hindered to a great extent. It is difficult for them to access basic services and commodities. Those who are forced to live in camps also face lack of facilities. Rohingya cannot move from one place to another and they cannot work at their own will. United Nations in one of its reports has termed Rohingya’s of Rakhine as the most oppressed minorities on the Earth. Access to fundamental human rights is a distant dream; they can’t even call themselves citizens of the state. Myanmar, probably, is the sole country that doesn't recognize its citizens/ give citizenship rights to its people merely on religious feud/enmity. Rohingya Muslims’ economic status is in shambles. They don’t have liberty of joining jobs. Overall, Rohingya people's primary sources of subsistence are agriculture and micro enterprises, which are now ruined by the local Buddhists and governmental workers.
