Abstract

According to Islamic point of view, the family is an institution that begins with the legal bond of marriage. Marriage is a contract that affirms the mutual rights of husband and wife. Other rights, including wife's sustenance. Since the wife agrees to leave her family and other relatives and live with her husband, she reserves the right to be exempt from all financial obligations. In the Islamic family system, the husband is legally and morally responsible to provide for his wife according to her financial status. Similarly, a wife has the right to demand money from her husband. She can claim this right through the court at any time. The wife has this right only if she agrees to stay with her husband and does not disobey the husband's reasonable order. If so, the provision of care would be considered incorrect. This article discusses the provision of care and related issues contrary to the family laws of Pakistan which will provide in-depth awareness to the readers.
