Abstract

The problem of khilafat has always been a controversial and big issue between Sunni and Shia schools of thought. After passing Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH), Ahle Sunnat accepted Hazrat Abu Bakar (R.A), Hazrat Umar (R.A), Hazrat Uthman (R.A), and Hazrat Ali (R.A) as correct and righteous persons for Caliphate according to the existing order, while Shia school of thought consider only Hazrat Ali (R.A) as the correct and right person for Khilafat, after passing of Prophet (PBUH), and not someone else. They present Verse No:23 of Surah Al-Shura and the related mentioned Hadith of Ibn Abbas (R.A) in their claim.

Hazrat Qazi Sahib has rejected the arguments of the Shia school of thought in many ways while the above verse and the above-mentioned verse have been interpreted satisfactorily.

So after reading this article, many problems will be solved.
