Abstract

Sub-Continent of Indo-Pak has very diverse history of Cultural and Civilizational heritage. Different religions, religious movements and political and communities of different backgrounds remained here and got prosperity in this part of the world. Qaramatians came to this land in third century of Hijrah from Yamen and Egypt. Soon they become very influential in local population of Multan. Qarmati Da’e Preacher Jalam who came from Egypt got the control of Government in Multan and propagated the teachings of Isma’ili Dawa’h. Qaramatians also got Governmental control in Mansurah Sind in the last part of the fourth century of Hijrah. Fatimid rulers of Egypt supported the Missionaries of their Dawa’h in Multan and Sind and remained in connection. Mahmud of Ghazna and Shihab ud Din of Ghour attacked those areas where Qaramatians got penetration and effective role. In Their different Indian campaigns they eliminated the Qaramati movement of this region. In this article political influence and control of Qaramatians in the Sub-Continentin Multan and Sind is being discussed and analyzed.
