Abstract

Political corruption has been received great attention in researches related to man-made legislation, due to its great danger and serious impact in creating other forms of corruption such as administrative and financial coruuptions. Since Islamic law meets the needs of every age, it is important and necessary to study the means and policy of combating political corruption in Islamic law. The main distinguished point of Islamic law in this regard is that it puts a special concept of political corruption and sets a clear criterion for its nature. It also laid down provisions to control and eliminate political corruption, and these provisions are of two types: first of them is in the shape of general priciples, rules and purposes of Sharia, and the second is special provisions. This study focuses on explaining the concept of polictical corruption in detail with some of its contemporary kinds and methods, also it focuses more on the first type of the provisions, because it absorbs many details in this regards and makes clear the features of the Islamic Sharia approach to combating political corruption.
