Methodology of Sub-Continent’s Scholars in the Urdu Rendering of Variant Readings (Qualitative study of famous Urdu translations)

Abstract

Impact of the variant readings on the rendering of the Quran is observable in the Urdu translations of the Quran, as tow established readings is like tow verses of the Quran therefor the translators of the Quran render the verse differently. If the difference between the variants is clear so they all are agreed upon the one meaning but some time they differs in translations as the variant are looking similar to each other in their meanings. The sub-continent exegetes some time combine the meaning of two variants or they describe other reading separately in footnotes and brackets. They review their translations of the variants on the odd occasion. In this research articles we will analysis the dealing of sub-continent famous Urdu translations in detail.
