Characteristics of the additional third chapter and its inferred meaning (Dalaalat) in Saheeh al-Bukhaaree

Abstract

         This research intends to extract meanings and study the patterns of connotations of Al-Fiʽl Al-Tulātī Al-Mujarrad as used in the sayings of the Prophet (PBUH) as narrated by Imām al-Bukhārī in his Al-Sahīh. The superficial meanings of the patterns might be explained lexically, but the intended meanings do no Fit come out because they require a semantic discourse analysis in light of the characteristics they stand for. The grammarians, including morphologists, have exposed many meanings of those patterns in various contexts. This study seeks to understand the patterns in terms of the meanings and interpretations.
